I caught the tail end of a news story this morning and I knew I had to share it here. The newscasters were talking about people who walk into a store that has layaway and paying off the bill, simply because they have the resources to do such a kindness. The reporter said that they do it because they CAN. He went on to say many Americans help others because they can...then he said, "Ameri-CAN!" What a lovely thought! Times are hard right now and for all too many of us, money is tight. But if you can...why not be an Ameri-CAN?
