Who Do I Think I Am?

The human brain has two minds.

Natural and supernatural ideas co-exist in the human brain. People who are not familiar with scientific explanation of phenomena have only supernatural ideas to fall back on. In the United States, a bias toward supernatural belief has labeled the teaching of science and mathematics as demonic and even unpatriotic. Emotional entrenchment, childish behavior well into adulthood, and infantile self-centeredness are accepted and defended as religious rights. Our hard-won understanding of nature is being lost, and as a result, the United States is fast becoming a third world country.
