Here are the introductory comments for those of you mourning the loss of a pet - this is from a site called angelsdestiny.com

I receive many calls and many emails from those whose hearts feel that aching emptiness and void from missing their loved ones. A common question I get is "When? When will I feel better? How long will it take before my heart heals? I don't think I will ever stop crying?" The healing process is unique to each person. The heart knows no clock nor calender. It only knows the pain it feels. And slowly it will heal but more than likely it will sneak up on you, and one day you will realize you can remember your beloved baby (pet)  with smiles rather than tears. Sometimes when you are searching for healing so hard, we get frustrated because we don't feel it. Thats why I love the phrase so much -Happiness is like a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you. -by
Nathaniel Hawthorne. Sometimes when we just listen to our heart and let it guide us, it just might surprise us when we least expect it.

I urge those of you with a loss, do visit angelsdestiny.com

I found myself speaking with relatives and friends, sharing my pain, stopping someone walking their dog and asking if I could pet their dog and speak to their dog for a second. Boy, do they get a surprised look. But whatever works for you. And I can only tell you, as dear friend Shane told me last evening, it gets better each day...

God bless you and your beloved pets....
