First of all, when Facebook offers specific advice of how to unfriend someone for example, that advice must be taken and followed without fail...
And its important to go through the help section and realize that even a site with over 900 million participants...things can and do go very wrong sometimes...

Yet, folks love social networking. Even to the point of obsession. People tell more, share more, discuss more - where they went for a cruise, who they saw,
what they ate, where they stayed, pictures and all. Giving away their life story so to speak. Also at times running the risk of saying too much. Walls have ears. Computers have eyes and ears and easily
penetrate walls. For that reason alone, Facebook has had its share of hackers and con-men. There have been friendships broken, one person says to the other - Gosh, I didn't say that? I didn't post that?
How dare you think I would stoop so low?

We are often happy on Facebook. We are sometimes angry. We are sometimes confused.

But fear not, Facebook has provisions to unfriend,
remove, fix, change a password, but even then things can and do happen, The old saying, if things are meant to go wrong, they will....And its often very very unfortunate. Hell is filled with good intentions, Dad used to say...

Each person going on Facebook creates a profile or now, uses the time-line. Travelled, workplace, friends, likes. dislikes. Favorite songs, recipes, pictures, Things that bug us, things we like, people at our workplace, that gal down the road we once had a desire to sleep with, yep, its all there. We make new friends, we share friends, Facebook.

Yet, privacy can become an issue, even the safety of accounts (some are compromised) -

In November 2011, some users found an image of themselves replaced with a porno image. Not so funny. Accounts were hacked.

But still, but of course, Facebook is  a wonderful way to keep in touch, get in touch. There have been grand moments where family members were reunited thanks to Facebook. And you just can't put
a price on that!!

Facebook is widely used in politics, and amazingly
back in 2006 everyone over 13 with a valid email
could take part in Facebook.

Back in 2003, when Zuckerberg attended Harvard as a sophomore (according to Wikipedia) he had
hacked into the Harvard computer and just about got turfed out of Harvard. But the case was dropped. And 2012 some billion dollars plus later,
Facebook outperformed My Space and other sites and became the dandy for investment. But most of the people who play around with Facebook are just happy to bask in the warmth of a compliment or simply being told how good they look. And that sort of thing feels real real nice.

Facebook improves and innovates all the time, bending to the need for improved security and a wider audience. No doubt people just keep coming back.....and maybe today, it'll be your turn to shine, or face the wrath of someones nasty comments.
(those darn hackers....)
