My planned greenhouse never quite materialized just yet, the idea was that I would tear down an existing one that a neighbor has and reconstruct it...but the season of snow lingered longer than we had hoped and for various reasons the greenhouse still stands, waiting for my hammer and crowbar...

The problem with trying to move an old greenhouse is probably the condition of the wood, especially the truss, tends to look a little dark, years of moisture and the fact this greenhouse has a misting device that comes with it. Even some electrical wire for perhaps a light and a small heater. So today I shall venture out and have a look and try to determine whether its even feasible to entertain such a project. Bad enough that my old wooden boat still sits in storage....just too many projects on my plate and it doesn't help to have age and a few aches and pains creeping up on you....

But we all try to plan and move forward even if those steps are small steps, they are steps forward nonetheless. And steps seem to get smaller and slower once you are in the retirement phase of your life....besides, what is the hurry anyways...
unless you want to rush to an early grave....

And the little box of seeds arrived. From some folks we got to know and like in the Province of Saskatchewan. An organized company called
Early's Seeds and Garden Centre, established back in 1907, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan...

Not that there is anything wrong in buying seeds right here in Alberta, just that we have had very good luck growing plants from these particular seeds. And like the name, they arrive Early.

We are still are waiting for a load of compost from a local farm, having tried mushroom manure and cow manure...it seems this compost is very popular and besides, there is nothing like fresh vegetables from your very own garden...

Guess I better get growing.....
