Some folks simply toss out things they don't need. Others live with the belief that one mans junk is another mans treasure. I suppose Dave and Sherry realized the dream of making a business out of this
very way of thinking.  And for a long while I became the door guy so to speak, bringing truck loads of doors that I scrounged from a number of
locations, some damaged a little that we re-touched with paint, or sanded and then brought over to Dave
for resale.  I was not aware at the time Dave was not only an actor, but the booming voice doing radio and television commercials, and a character indeed, this tall man with the long hair and nasty sense of humour. Dave could find humour in almost anything and probably drove Sherry up the wall at times with
his...as he put it...laughter and good looks.

But the door sales started to get a little sparse, I had some other business interests (like trucking for the oil patch) and being away up north found less and less time to seek out the old doors.

But not only doors, Home re-use-ables is the place to find windows and light fixtures, cupboards and just too many items to mention.

But what always caught my attention when I walked in the door was Dave with the big smile, Sherry working in the office and a bunch of friendly folks in the business of turning junk into real useful treasure. And if some of the old items could talk and tell a story......

And remember, with any business its the people who make or break a company just by their atitude and if you happen to meet Dave and Sherry...you know that you have come to Home re-use-ables and in a sense, have  come home....
