Country legend George Jones in one of his songs reminds us...we have choices.....and yes...there are voices...and the voices of country music remain long after the singer(s) have left the building.

Voices of Patsy Cline, Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, Roger Miller, Hank Williams, Whitney Houston, Ella Fitzgerald, Roy Orbison, Elvis, and
the list goes on...not all country singers, but nonetheless our heroes...

For those of you who got to watch and enjoy the 1982 movie Honkytonk Man, with Clint Eastwood
you might have noticed Marty Robbins playing Smoky in that movie...

I remember spending a few one on one moments with the late Roy Orbison just before a concert. Polite and dignified. Roy was polishing his own boots...

And each and everyone of us have memories of these special legends who made us smile and made us laugh and made us cry. Often stupid lyrics. But words that touched the heart. Songs that brought us to our feet, making us want to dance at midnight,
but often words that made us  feel special, as though the singer intended the song...just for us...

To the legends of the past, I say Thankyou....
