Yes. That is something we can all share. With the technology of cell phones, computers, digital camera....we can all share old photographs with members of our family. And what a great experience to open an envelope and look at pictures of the past, some going back to the thirties...

Thankyou Enid and thankyou cousins all over the world who take the time to share. That precious word Share...for not only do these photographs take us to a different, slower, humbler time, they reconnect us with those we love, have loved and need to remember. We must not forget!

There is grandpa standing on a very very old truck with Grandma. Yes, Moms parents. My My.
Grandpa looked so tall, he worked in the mine and later in life paid for that work underground with his health. And there is a picture of our beloved Uncle Bill who charmed the world with his accordian, with his guitar, with his smile. Si Senor. Loved those cards from Mexico. Loved the visits from Uncle Bill, just the way he brought warmth and love into the room. A gentleman through and through. And there is one of Uncle John, the hat maker. And look how sweet Mom and Dad look in those old photographs. Considering it was the thirties and times were difficult. And maybe that is another thing that connects. Times are a little difficult now for many folks, foreclosures in the U.S. - even banks having difficulties. How did our loved ones cope in the thirties. How did they manage to smile and be happy when times were so tough. But they smiled and they were happy. They had to make the effort. And they did,

And these photographs from cousin Enid all tell a story.

Yes, we need to share old photographs. And not wait. Time is passing. We are all getting older.
We need to stay connected with the past...
