Pack those bags Bill. Just maybe its time to get back to the farm. And did you know, farming is making a huge comeback. Folks are looking at raising chickens, crops, even having a greenhouse in the back yard. I understand a small well organized hydroponic greenhouse properly cared for could feed a family of 4 for a year. Thats food for thought.

Back in 2005 manure, soil and straw all had a different kind of smell...with about 25 North American schools and universities all offering a four year bachelor of science degree in organic
agriculture. Indeed the demand for organic foods is greater than ever and has meant the return of the family farm, and already we hear about small farms, some just a few acres doing very well with some specialty crops like herbs, berries, etc.

Perhaps some of this has to do with the fact that some children were dying from respiratory disease,
given the high rate of pollution in large cities and industrial parks. Toxic substances in the air and water. Now we have housing developments that encroach on what was once rich farm land.

So that idea of growing things, even a mini-farm
in your backyard  is not a bad idea.

So depending on how involved you want to get
the challenge of the land is there. You likely find out before long that real estate is cheaper as you get a few miles out of the city and just maybe with all the crazy things going on in the city its time to consider a move to rural-anywhere, a quiet and
healthy lifestyle awaits....
