I find the Christmas season a little sad. Perhaps because not long ago we lost our Mom a couple of months after Christmas, and Dad passed on in the month of January.likewise my wife's Mom. But the
legacy of love they left behind always brings a few tears to my eyes this time of year. And I shall need to go and visit their resting place and cry a little,
because that is just something I need to do....
And quietly tell them how much it hurts not to have them here yet another Christmas.

And where does your heart go for Christmas? Does it go abroad to your son or daughter in the Military? Does your heart go to a prison where a
loved one is serving time? Does your heart go out onto the street where some young folks wrestle with drug and alcohol abuse? Does your heart go to a local hospital where a friend is going to spend Christmas with few visitors?  Or does your heart go to a small nursing home where some older people badly need to see someone, anyone - for Christmas?

And the list goes on. For there are those that have and those that have not. There are those that care and those who care not.  Some are unemployed, not worried so much about Christmas as they are about where the next meal will come from. In a northern place like Canada it is often the bitter cold that is a concern. And some might not have a warm enough coat or boots or gloves. So whats in your closet that you can give away? Dig deep. Because in giving we receive. And we can never take life for granted, we just don't know when or where the rocky road of life may take our own lives...

And so I ask myself, and so I ask you dear reader,
Where does your heart go for Christmas?
God bless, take good care of those you love and
of course, of yourself. Get some rest this Christmas and take a few minutes to offer a thought or a prayer....
