Mittens for cold hands

I love to knit. So why not make some mittens for those who cannot afford to buy a pair for themselves. There are so many people who have some much less than I do. I feel that if each of us would just do one little thing to show how much we care, this world would be a much better place to live.
I just lost my brother on Oct.9 and I miss him so much. He is one of the reasons I do what I do, because that was the way I was brought up to beleive. That if we each do our little part we can change our world. I do this out of LOVE.
Please let me know how you feel about this. When you feel like you have given a child a pair of mittens. I get that warm and fuzzy feeling inside, that feeling that that child will have warm hands when he or she walks to school each day.
