We hear stories of people who go missing. We are curious and
often puzzled. What happened?  But when you have worked with
someone and consider that person a wonderful, intelligent, kind
and caring person - and that person goes missing - its very
disturbing. I worked with Ron on a construction project and
found him to be so full of life. So confident. So happy.

And this is the story of Ron Yakimchuk and Terry Pettit (his wife). Their plan was to drive an old Volkswagon (1956 or 1957)
from Alberta to Montreal (Quebec) to attend a wedding. Ron had
a one man white kayak on the roof. And had a huge laugh and
happy manner. This trip would be  wonderful for Ron & Terry.
Perhaps a chance to explore Ontario, as Ron was definitely a
free spirit who loved adventure. Ron was an Editor of a small
newspaper and his wife (Terry) wrote as a reporter for a big
city newspaper.

Something happened and that is the mystery. Did they pick up
a hitchhiker who did something? Did they drive deep into the
woods, getting lost in the process? Did they drive their vehicle
into Lake Superior? Lots of theories and no answers. Bank
accounts not touched. No letters or phone calls. Missing. Blank.
Unknown???

Obviously this has been terrible for family member on both
Rons side and Terry's family as well. And for friends...

But someone out there knows something. That is a feeling that
I have. And hopefully the truth will surface. Ron was 28 at the
time. Terry was 24. Life was an adventure. Ron would be 65
this year (if he were alive). But police suspect the couple are
not alive.

What happened to Ron & Terry?
