Ok, get out the candles. More blankets. Shut off the lights early. Prepare
for the 66% power bill increase. Why? Well, it seems that two of the coal
fired turbines would be prohibitive to repair and thus - the friendly folks
are asked to foot the bill.

Makes one want to think back to earlier times, when there were no concerns
about power rates. Matter of fact, there was no source to electric power
at one time. Only a coal oil lamp, a wood stove and being able to survive
a Canadian winter - was  a real challenge.

No doubt there are other sources (not as efficient) such as solar power
and wind power. But most of us simply put up and shut up. Whats the use
in getting excited. Write a letter to the local politician? That'll have as
much success as someone once said, as a fart in the wind.

So we accept. We tolerate. We do our best. The City of Calgary (Alberta)
this weekend expects what could be up to another 25 cm of snow. And this
is April. And spring is not far.  Ya right.  Christmas is not far either.

With some luck - just maybe we shall get enough sunlight to rid the nasty
piles of snow from our streets and our lawns....

That is -  until next winter.  Have another beautiful day, wherever you are
and whatever you are doing. Keep planning and keep smiling. Its never
THAT bad.  Cheers.
