Compost is a mixture that consists largely of decayed organic matter and is used for fertilizing and conditioning land.

I'm not going to pretend I'm Miss Green, because I"m not, but slowly I am learning about things that will help the enviorment and perserve our planet. I am sure others have been doing this forever, Miss Slow Green, just learned about compost last night from a friend.

So for my going green tip of the day and please feel free to comment and add to this idea.

I'm going to keep a bowl next to my sink and throw in my coffee grinds from my coffee each day, and when I clean my veggies I will add the tops of the carrots I cut off, and the tops of tomatoes, I guess egg shells, and I heard tea bags can be added. Anything else? At the end of the day that bowl will be taken to a section of my garden, atop my new compost pile.

Just as it is not only important to be kind, as to share with others your kind acts, to spread kindness.  It is also not only important to exercise going green as it is to educate others to help our planet.  Every going green tip, as insignificant as it may seem to you, will help educate others.  It's our duty to our planet, to help spread the news.
