How many times have I heard that before? As I sit and look around me, I take in all the things that make up my life. The home I live in, the car I drive, my children, my friends, my work, my body… none of them are perfect. None of them are exactly where I want them to be but many of them are very, very good, and using this affirmation helps me see that.
It’s good to have goals. It’s good to know where you’re going, but it’s also good to remember that this is a journey with so much to be lived and learned and experienced along the way.
Wherever you are right now is just fine. It may not be where you want to be, and it probably isn’t even close to being ‘as good as it gets’, but this is your life today. Own it, love it, enjoy it and know that every day you get closer. Let go of the judgments and the opinions of others that tell you you’re not good enough or that you should be better by now.
This is your journey. Be where you are.
I am where I am, and that’s ok.
