The thought emotion factor is not a revolutionary idea.  It is simply one that has been overlooked and never explained in a simple way for the vast majority of us to comprehend.

Simply stated, whatever thoughts I choose to hold onto in my mind and thereby converting them into a personal belief, will cause me to act in a particular way toward my environment and toward myself.  My predominant belief will also determine that state of my emotional being at any given moment.

When I am able to control my thoughts to such an extent that I harbor only positive and healthy thoughts, my behaviors and emotions will be of a positive and healthy nature.  The converse is also true.

It is Human nature to be attracted to like minded people for support and comfort.  We tend to avoid those who put out an uncomfortable vibration, or whose beliefs and behaviors are so divergent from our own to propagate an uncomfortable situation.  Here in lies a foundational truth that we will attract to our self and be more comfortable with that which we are with regard to our own personal beliefs and emotional condition.

The difficult concept to wrap our mind around is that we will attract to our self more of what we are with regard to thought beliefs and emotional being, not just what we want.

As we live and experience life on its’ terms, we develop a set of beliefs about our self and others which are connected to a set of emotions that support this set of beliefs.  The challenge presents itself as we come to a place where we know there has to be more to life than we have experienced and we want our fair share of it.

Unfortunately, we as Humans tend to more easily adopt and hold onto faulty, negative beliefs and emotions about our self as a person.  We seem to have great difficulty in separating our self from our experience thereby allowing our self to define who we are by our experiences.  For the person whose has experienced favor and positive experience the task is to remain humble and graciously accept their fortune and enjoy it.  For the person who experiences misfortune, the task becomes one of not putting self down and entering into a cycle of self sabotaging thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Thoughts and emotions impact each other.  If our emotion and belief are both positive, we will be a positive energy state.  If our emotion and belief are both negative, will be in a negative energy state.  If our emotion and belief are of opposite state to each other, we will be in a negative energy state.

Here in lies the challenge.  We choose to believe in the positive, but because of past negative experiences we are holding onto negative emotions such as; fear, doubt, jealousy, inappropriate anger, self condemnation, un forgiveness of self and others, etc.  I term this the “Yes- But -Syndrome” that interferes with our ability to progress.  Our mind says yes I can, it will work out, you can do it, but our gut conjures up emotions of fear, doubt, unworthiness, which contradict what we are trying to tell our self.  This places us into a negative energy state, which will attract to us more negative experience.

There is a way out of this dilemma.  The practice of positive cognitive affirmations that have been properly prepared when coupled with effective healthy processing of negative emotions due to past life experiences will help to break the cycle of lack and allow for the entrance into the process of living an abundant life style.

The power to create is within all of us.  Just take a moment to honestly reflect on your life to date, reflect back and observe how your beliefs, emotions, and behaviors have been instrumental in getting you to where you are thought wise, emotionally, behaviorally, and self wise at this very moment.  Having done this, now enter into a mindfulness exercise to enter into the here and now and take stock of your present belief, emotion, behavior, and experience.  Settle into this very moment and just observe your present condition of belief, emotion, behavior, and experience.  This state of energy is what you are attracting more of into your life at this very moment.
