A wise man (my dad) once said to me, every second of life is precious, you can't get back time you regret you wasted. He tells me daily to lighten up and put a smile on my face. When I'm feeling down, he asks me, "Where's your Happy Meter?",  "How many hours do you have clocked in?". Silly it seems, but symbolically true for all forms of life.

If you don't fuel an engine, it will not work. If you don't water your garden, it may never bloom. If you want to live a happy and healthy life, you must feed yourself, fuel yourself. Laughter is medicine, love is peace, family and friendships are the glue that hold your pieces together. Every smile you bear, think of it as another minute clocked into your Happy Meter. Every hearty laugh, should be good for an hour. Never let your meter expire. If you do, you will look back on all those seconds you wasted in regret.
