Right now in Pineridge, South Dakota
people are being raped
people are getting beat to death
kids are be dragged into gangs.
If you so much as where the wrong colore
whether red or blue
they will get jumped or be forced to claim a side
Right now,
my friend is looking for her boyfriend
Him and his friend got jumped last night
His friend got hit over the head with a shovel
his friend got 38 stitches
But he is still missing..
they were jumped last night by 15 people from the opposite gang
Right now my friend is missing the guys she loves
All because her best friend whos a guy,
didnt like her boyfriend because he thought he was controlling
now the boy is missing.
 
Kids sitting in jail because they wanna live
kids go there to escape dying
the good die young on the streets.
People always fighting
police looking the other way when little girls get raped
Reservations are dangerous place
where all kids get drunk
all kids get high
all da people that wanna live have guns
and killing isnt a hobby its a way of life
people cant run when they are in these gangs
they will always find you.
the only wayto escape this way of life
is death.
because only the good die young.

But to inform people about proverty in america
This is what happen to us natives.
We were forced into reservations.
segragating people before birth
violence was never what we wanted
but it was what we had to learn
now it is used not for protection
but for a sense of power.
