Luckily we won't have that problem anymore.

Something else to consider; all those triggers we have, all the things that really 'get us going' about another person - if you look within yourself, you often find that is an issue you have (whether you've admitted it so far or not) with yourself, something about you that you don't like. Using our triggers as a mirror to ourselves can also be a very eye-opening way to affect change as well. Thank you for your insight, and for the courage to realize you are NOT a robot, doomed to repeat the same patterns over and over again!

I often feel like I overreact to things. It is like I feel one way but I am acting another. It is very frustrating wanting to stop doing something that you can only do if you identify it when it happens. If that makes sense at all. Thanks for the article, it is wonderful.

Such a clear cut explaination of why we do what we do and how we can change our reactions if we choose to. You have dissected it so well, that I believe this analogy will stay with me forever.

Clearly I can stop my programmed robotic reactions, the same reactions that get me nowhere. So true, one thought, then another and downward spiral is where it's at.

I can't wait to try this "Action is conscious, and directed by you, reaction is unconscious and directed by your program." I think just remembering that will help. Thank you for this post.
