It was actually an idea brought about by a design student in 2008. He decided it would be a terrific way to unite the country as it is a very accessible color. A new trend is painting your hand green and then going around to various walls, and leaving a green handprint to mark your vote, in a sense. Very cool idea, good to see it being put to use, even with American supporters on Twitter. Great article too!<br/><br/>

Your garden will love it. Compost also needs about 50% 'brown' stuff to give it a balance, so you get a nice, dry, crumbly texture, which can be dry things from the garden like twigs, or, more importantly, paper and card.  Crumple up that junk mail, cereal boxes, yogurt carton card sleeves etc. and pop it in with the rest of the compost.  This gives the compost some breathing space too.  Perfect!<br/><br/>

We are missing the boat so much it hurts. Our waste is
absolutely terrible. And I mean the waste that could be turned into
beautiful, useful compost.<br/><br/>
