This quote sort of reminded me of the man Jim Valvano was, the way he indeed lived his life. The way we all should live our lives, "deeply!"

Jim Valvano passed away so many years ago, yet through his life, his foundation, and this speech, he lives on, positively affecting peoples lives long after he died. I think that's how I want to live, I want to affect people so profoundly that I remembered after I am gone. That is how we all can be immortal. Not many people in the world are remembered because of the car they drive, or house they lived in, what is remembered is how the person made other people feel, the good they have done for other people.

People may forget what you said, they may forget what you did, but they'll never forget how you made them feel. Something like that. . .

I have to learn to use my emotions more as Jim Valvano says in this speech. What great advice, to laugh, think, and cry every day. Excellent speech, and I know he said his family were the courageous ones, but really so was he.
