What do you think of my idea, copied below.... THANKS!
TO MY FELLOW BLOGGERS RE: NEW WAVE OF SPAM ATTACKS
There's an atmosphere of mutual respect and sincerity that pervades this site.
That's why I love to contribute here. As in the wider world, if we permit that atmosphere to be degraded without protest or taking action, that positive spirit can and will be slowly stripped away.
I propose that a new wrinkle be added to each author's control panel- the ability to delete spamming comments and their impact on blog ratings.
Bloggers could use this power on an "honor system". That is, we would all agree to retain the comments of all sincere responders, even if they disagree and give us low ratings. That's show biz, as they say (-:
My prediction is that if we had that power, and spammers knew their comments would disappear almost immediately, they would give up their vandalism at our site.
And if they didn't- it wouldn't matter anyway (-:
Times and circumstances change, and we need to preserve this great online forum, by adapting.
Fellow bloggers- what do you think?

I haven't discovered much news on it recently, which most probably suggests that it is not really that far off, but i have a idea its really going to lead to a few significant improvements to social networks. I think, i'd personally prefer facebook came out of the battle still in the lead because google's already big enough, and they already hold an excessive amount of data on absolutely everyone. I don't feel that both will be able to exist though, either google's social network will control or totally fail. Just what does anyone else think?

It made me stop and think of how important those words are to all of us. I work with children and tell them that all the time....but have never really thought about the impact. For this I thank you, John...

The best is it costs us nothing, it is not time consuming. It makes you wonder why we don't do it all day long.

The other great point you mentioned, which I learned years ago from a favorite priest, is to be humble. I love the word, I love how it sounds, it is one of those words that the sound of it compliments it's meaning. Being humble is the key to being a kind person. It resonates peace. Nothing is ever that important. It's always between you and your higher power. Always take the low road. Always be humble. Great blog John.
