My mother went most every weekend most of my life growing up, and you're so right - it's as much about the adventure and the people as it is finding needed goods.

I think having a sale of your own, or donating your things is a great idea! (And you know it is by how good thinking about it makes you feel.) It's always good to keep the cycles in life flowing. Out with the old to make room for the new. Letting go of things that once served you, but are no longer needed can not only make more space in your home, but can be emotionally/spiritually cleansing as well. Have fun with it, and good luck. = )
