by farmers; we hear about their struggle, worry and concerns from year to year. the farmers depend on rain for corn, and soybean as these crops are not irrigated; their are many farmers, that grow lentils
and peas, and always, many successful, and many hardships.

Great thought to look beyond the food we eat.
A farmers life is a hard one, and when mother nature doesn't cooperate it could make life even harder.

I love watching Little House on the Prairie, and Sarah Plain and Tall, they really portrait how it was to eat only food from the land.

Loved your blog old soul, thanks!

Farmers need the rain. And it seems always one thing or another. But then, farmers understand the concept of change
probably better than most of us. If you intend on being a farmer you
accept Mother Nature and plant crops accordingly. Always a risk. Always a challenge. But nonetheless a lifestyle that is rewarding.
Having travelled the back country (as an aerial Photographer) I know
and appreciate the need to understand and respect the farm and the farmer for all the daily struggles....and Marian, thanks for bringing this
most important article to everyones attention. Well done.
