Need to be able to set up single phone template for users and push all settings, apps and templates out to phones.. Now that would save me some time. Your point about determining what is appropriate action in one situation is not always appropriate in another is an egoless state. In the first scenario working toward the cause is appropriate. Not being able to discern that one's body, mind, and spirit also need care is ego-based. I agree that this is self-preservation (self=ego), but not Self-preservation (Self=our divine, egoless nature). Excellent post

It's great! You mentioned "ego" a few times. Ironically, my thoughts this mornining were of a similar notion along the lines of pride & arrogance. I try to be a good Christian and I must keep reminding myself that my writings to inspire should not be done to puff me up, but only to truely inspire someone in some shape or form. Once again, great story!

No matter how selfless the deed seems to be, if we push to the point that we damage ourselves, then I fear the deed was never altruistic in the first place, but rather serving some hidden need. Often it is simply a need to be needed, and that can be a dangerous thing. While it's very human to want to be needed, praised appreciated and loved, it can definately be taken too far. I actually don't believe any deed is ever 100% altruistic - I believe it always serves us in some way. Even Mother Theresa! She served the world selflessly, but it served a need for her too in that it made her feel good. She was not looking for adoration or accolades (like so many of us seem to be), but again, it made her feel good to do those things, closer to God. What a great motivation! Too bad we can't always be so certain of other's motives!
