People have emotional addictions to foods.  The ritual of eating (or drinking) certain foods meets needs for people... there are lots of reasons people maintain unhealthy eating habits.  Having said that, you do offer some good suggestions here!  Exercise is key, keeping a diary is helpful, getting outside is a great suggestion, but the one I agree with most is "do it for yourself".  You are very right - this new lifestyle must be for you.

Getting out of the house is huge,  also good idea to pack snacks, lunch, to eat while you are out, if you are headed to the mall, you can come across a lot of temptation. Very important to have an apple, or a fiber bar at 140 calories with you. You will be less likely to eat the wrong things.

I have lost 12lbs since the end of January.  I love the snacks at night, but the will power has won out, and I go to bed a little hungry as not to eat late night. Well last night, don't know why, but I caved in, had a peanut butter sandwich, and three handfuls of jelly beans, and a bag of popcorn.  

Word to the wise. . . don't cave. . . you enjoy it for the hour, and the next day you think about what a wrong choice that was. I thought of times on the threadmill that I didn't want to be on there, but I stuck it out, endured the sweat, and I just ate enough calories to negate that exercise.  

I won't do that again.  When the temptation comes, handle it in any way you can to help yourself.  Bingeing is not the answer. wrong, bad, not worth it, bad choice.<br/><br/>
