You apparently do so much and give a lot...how much more can there be? Everything you do to connect to God and His children are currently within your comfort level. If you want more, and you really want to feel it, then step outside of that box! Give of yourself beyond your own expectations of daily life. When you do, you will feel the difference.
God Bless you.

Kristi, I do usually write down all my prayers... I have journal upon journal scattered everywhere... I do feel its the best way to hold myself accountable... I guess I just kind of forgot that I hold what I need to do... and I just need to do it!

You are correct, it is not enough to pray. One has to be specific. There is a difference in praying for peace and praying for peace to be restored to a tormented soul by the name of xxx today. That you have started is the best start. Recognize that we are all flawed. If you feel your life is cookie cutter, then...as with any garden, plant something new that adds some color to your life. Find someone or something to insert that energy into that has real depth and meaning. Whatever your trials, find someone in the same boat and show them how you helped yourself. You know the parable, give a man a fish and he eats for one day. Teach a man to fish.... Every life is like a garden and all gardens have weeds. So weed your garden, plant something new and maybe change up the fertilizer. Maybe your garden developed a tolerance for its current fertilizer? Either way... a little landscaping witih a fresh new look should do the trick....and keep blogging!

You would not be missing the active relationship with God. You have simply strayed, allowed your life to become a routine. Christianity may have turned into something you do, a part of your to-do list, rather than something you participate in and strive to grow in.
Now I'm only 19, so my world of experience is still rediculously narrow but I will say that for myself when searching for meaning...I found that reading a few verses and then writing down what they actually mean to me is a good way to do it. Journalize it, and what you want to accomplish in your faith. You say writing makes things make sense for you. Use that talent. Write down your prayers, so that you make yourself consiously pray.

You have it in you, or you would not be longing for it.
I know you do not necessarily ask for comments, but something about this beautifully expressed need for your faith and God spoke to me.
