The best way to forget your problems and get out of a depression, is to help others with their problems. When you feel so bad, you don't have the desire to even think of helping someone else, it's a matter of JUST DOING IT. Just wake up and do something good for someone, you hit the nail on the head, it really is medicine. No cost, and so much to gain. Thanks for your inspiring post.

I agree with Alan,I have been coming here for a long time, and the theory of this site is just awesome, I hope it stays as positive and uplifting. There's a lot of good going on in the world, we need to blog more of the grapevine heros we read about.

Great Post!

If people would only take the focus off of themselves for a day, to realize what this site has been about from the beginning imagine how much positive energy we would spread.

We are in a world of woe is me. . . me me me and me. . .
This is not meant to be a self help site, which it seems to have turned into. It is only a self-help site in the sense that reading how others have helped others, will thus help you to be happier and inspired to do good for others, which will in turn make you even more happy.

Re-read the homepage, this is a site about blogging ideas to share with others, on how to make a better, kinder, less "ME" world .

It should be mandatory for all bloggers to read the home page before blogging.

Honestly, we all have problems, every one of us, the loss of a loved one, an abused life, financial woes, addictions, etc, etc. . .

I think more posts should be blogging about positive ideas, sharing ideas on helping and changing the world, and less on woe is me. . .

Posts should not be
"I have been in an abusive relationship and I want to kill myself..."
Rather, they should be more like...
"I dealt with an abusive spouse and this is how I got through it. . ."

Or posts should be something like...
"This is what I did to help save the planet..."
or
"This is what I did to help my neighbor who was struggling..."

If it's not an idea on changing the world, or helping someone . . . it shouldn't be posted.

Thanks Little Things and others for following through on the purpose of Blog4Change.org, thank you all for your positive and inspiring posts!

This was my first blog and I never realized how great it could feel to help out so many people at one time by writing in a blog. I will do more and I sure appreciate your comment you left. Truly, it helped me so much to share this and I am so glad to find your site!
