I think the bobbing of my head gave me away.....

blog
Why is it that when I am at home, and a song begins to play, I sing out loud. \Confident that I know all the words and can hit the high notes just as good as the artist themselves?  A particular favourtie has to be turned up loud, to fully appreciate the song and may even inspire me to attempt to dance at the same time.  Of course, all of this happens at a time, that I know I am alone in the house, and there is no chance of being seen by anyone else, as I attempt to prove to myself that I can sing just as good as any competitor on the X Factor.

Much the same can be said when I am alone in my car.  Obviously, the dancing is not an ideal thing to attempt whilst driving, but singing is a great way to endure the traffic jam that I become entangled with both morining and evening.  Unless, I forget to take my sunglasses.  No sunglasses to hide behind, no singing.  I sit there silently, desperate to join in with Queen, back the singers to Billy Joel, and prove to the world, that I to know all the words to every Abba song.  But I don't utter one word.

Do sunglasses make us look cool?  I have seen other drivers singing, wearing no shades, and it does look strange.  But they don't seem to care.  I tried it once, whilst parked on a dual carriage way.  I couldn't resist when Paul Simon began to play, and decided that people would probably think I was talking to someone, via blue tooth.  But I think the bobbing of my head gave me away and the odd looks I kept getting from the family next to me, soon shut me up.

So the next time you see a woman in her Toyota, wearing sunglasses in the semi darkness of the dawn or dusk, it will probabley be me.  Enjoying  herself, not getting stressed, and not worrying about what anyone else thinks.  Just be thankful you can't hear me!
