How can we call ourselves HUMAN when we allow things like this to happen to GOD's creatures?,and why do we think that animals are here for our amusement?It has no rationale,and I can't even begin to allow myself to think that we have no human compassion towards our fellow creatures.Animals are here to enrich our dull hum-drum mediocre lives,to be a companion to those that are lonely,outcasted by society,friends, and family.They perform a great service to us in just about any compacity,but yet we still mistreat one of our most valuable assets,and toss them away when they don't conform to us.We as individuals,people,and as a society have to take a stand and say its not ok anymore.We have to be a voice for those that cannot speak,for those that are loyal to a fault,those that love us no matter what we have done,said,or anything else.When will the suffering end?There are laws governing animal cruelty,but is it just?I don't think so!Most of them get slaps on the hands and given a speech on pet ownership and responsibility.While some that break more serious laws may get some jail time,those are usually the one's who have participated in the dog fighting genre,yet they get some jail time and the dogs get the death penalty,because they are deemed vicious,and aggressive.Hmmmmm where is the real crime here?Animals are not born I don't think vicious and aggressive,they adapt to thier surroundings and learn negative traits from us,they wasn't born fighters,they were taught and therefore should not be punished for doing what we have taught them to do.You must realize that I am speaking on domesticated animals not wild.Altho during past years there has been an influx on persons purchasing wild animals in hopes of domesticating them......OMG when did we become so un-civilized?
