Its sad ~ but its also wonderful to remember the fond memories~

blog
Mothers  day~  Yes   we remember   our dear mother which we lost on 2010    ` ~ This is the second mothers day without  her  ~  Its sad  ~ But its also wonderful to be able to remember all the fond memories  that she left behind for us all ~
To begin with we lived in a  small house   that Grandpa built  ~ *Moms  father  * that is ~
It was cute  ~  a little white picket fence  like the ones that you hear about  ~    circled the yard ~ We had a huge garden ~ which we all had to help at times  ~ we didn’t really like to help in the garden  ` which kid does ? >  Smile
We learned in the years later that it was a learning thing and a good thing~A  few of the family have become some pretty darn good gardeners  ~
Then convenient~  oh no  ~ we didn’t have the modern conveniences as everyone has now a days ~
Mom pulled water from the well  ~ I can still remember the unique taste of the cold well water~
We didn’t have a  fridge... until mom acquired an icebox~ ~ which served the purpose nicely~   Mom made us treats such as Jello and ice cream pies in the winter using the *Great outdoors*  as a fridge  ` Smile
When we were all pretty young mom pulled us all on a  big old sled  taking turns who would sit in front   over to visit our grandparents who lives a couple of blocks away  ~  In the summer mom took all four of us for walks using the wagon  usually putting the youngest   ~ *Little brother* in front  ~And she walked for miles   ~  never tiring or complaining   ~ Just making it a great time  ~
We did things  that you don’t see people doing these days  ~ They tend to drive where ever they go~ and miss all the fun and adventure that we all enjoyed  ~with our mom~
Mom even made house cleaning fun  Every Saturday mom washed and waxed the floors  and in those days  they had  *Paste wax*   In order to make the floors shine so beautifully~ Mom kept an old wool blanket especially for that   job~ She would get us to take turns of pulling each other around in the room after the wax dried and it would buff up the floor and it shined so beautifully and we enjoyed  the ride  ~ Smile as well~
I could go on and on but  ~   this is a short  and loving remembrance  of our  Dear Mother  ~ Happy mothers day  ~ all~
