It was around 2 A.M. I stopped where there at least 100 other trucks, and after resting only 5 minutes someone was madly pounding on my window....

I have made many many trips to Ft. McMurray, where the plants
keep getting bigger, honestly the city never sleeps and even at
midnight there was a huge line-up at McDonalds.  Every truck-
stop along the way was packed with trucks.

Returning from north of Ft. McKay, which is north of Ft.
McMurray I stopped in the little cozy community of Wandering
River and thought with all the trucks there stopping to rest, surely I would be safe.  Only after 5 minutes of resting I sensed
someone looking at me and noticed a tall man by the passenger
window who started pounding on the window and tugging at the
door when he noticed that I noticed him.  I was not sure what he
was up to and the other truckers were fast asleep, so I quickly
turned on the ignition and floored the gas and got out of there.
It appeared he had something in his hand.

I immediately thought about the two couples in Canada both
having gone missing, one pair in Oregon, and the other two
towards the foothills. Makes you wonder.

The key is to be cautious (I realized later, my driver side door
was unlocked)  and even with others around there are some
brazen individuals who will try to break in or do harm...even
with many around.  Quite mind-boggling....

Proof positive, you just cannot be TOO CAREFUL.
