I am sure the title of this blog got your attention. Why is it that so many of us are negative at times no matter how many self help books we read telling us not to be? I have given this a great deal of thought and I have to tell you I am a little fed up with being told how to feel and that how I am feeling is going to have a negative effect on me if I don't stop it asap. I am a believer that all negative feelings come from the same source that positive ones do and they all serve our higher purpose. If you look at yourself like a highly tuned space ship out in the world surveying the territory and looking for things to learn about and be safe in the process you will have a better idea of how your navigation system works. When you get in an area of a person and you feel negative emotion surrounding them it simply means that for you and your system it is best if you stay away. If you get into a group or on a team and you sense it isn't for you it most likely is not. You are going through this world and literally feeling your way around through the eyes of self, "your self", to find what is for you and what isn't. The only time a problem comes in is when you decide what is or isn't for someone else. As long as you follow your intuition on what is right and wrong for you all is well. But, if you start to tell your mate, your child, or your friends what they should think or do because of what you are thinking and doing then you have trouble. Stop beating yourself up and trying to stop all negative thoughts from entering you mind. You probably already know it doesn't work, they only get louder and more persistent. So they need to be heard, they need to be honored and they need to be acknowledged. This is you communicating with you and what could be more correct than that? When negativity comes and it will you need to look at what it is trying to convey to you, what message is it sending? Is someone in your life in it that shouldnt be? Are you doing things you don't want to? Is there something going on that you are ignoring or refusing to look at? This is why negativity comes, it is a communicator and should never be shunned or pushed away. So the next time you feel negative and feel guilty about it, don't, be happy that you have a guidance system within you that will never forsake you no matter how hard you try to ignore it. Too bad we don't have more friends in our lives like that. It never gives up, never gives in and stays with you no matter where you are, until you hear it's message. I think having negative thoughts can be a good thing and we shoudl pay attention to them.
