I still am shaking my head in disbelief.  I am 51 years old and I have never traveled out of the united states.  Unemployed I decided to do the one thing I always wanted to do.  I found a wonderful low cost volunteer program in Peru... got on a plane and spent 3 months teaching children in Peru English... I met the most amazing children made some wonderful new friends and found so much love and hugs and smiles and I found out a lot about myself.  You will never be the same after you have done something you wanted to do all your life... the children live in extreme poverty but have lots of love and there are people and projects that are making a big difference in the lives of these children.  I got sometimes 50 hugs a day... beat any of my prior records of hugs here in the U.S.  I learned a little Spanish and watched some of the most peaceful sunsets of my life.  I also started reading OSHO.  I realize now just how unhappy I have always been... what's next... looking for a job that I will love... and making a PEACE poster with pictures of all my friends that work for peace.... hugs
