Ok, there's something I need to say about this new immigration law here in Arizona.  We've been all over the news the last couple weeks, with marches and protests, and regardless of which side of the issue you're on, I want to point out how much negative energy is being generated.

I've spoken with people both for and against the new law, and all of them became frustrated, angry and upset after just minutes of discussion.

On an emotional scale, frustration and anger are both quite low.  We all know that now much good has ever come from that kind of energy, yet that seems to be the only energy we are feeding this situation.  I feel that low, negative energy will never solve anything, but rather continue to pull things down.

I honestly believe that if we want to fix this issue, we need to move out of these lower feelings and into ones of hope or empowerment.  Instead of focusing on the problem, focus on the solution.  If you have no idea what that solution is (as most of us don't) then simply focus on what you want.

For me, I want a thriving economy in our state.  I want plenty of jobs for all who are seeking.  I want to be surrounded by healthy, loving, law abiding people who respect me, my children and my property.  I want what is fair, and I want to feel good about all this.

No matter what you feel about the law, wouldn't it be nice to create that!  I don't know how to create those things, but if I keep focusing on them, I'm now sending positive energy to the issue.  I believe that positive energy will only help to raise it up.
