It might be time to change. To change your perception of who you are, and bypass assumed limitations and also disregard self-doubt and habitual negative traits.

The combination of these 3 listed above; assumed limitations, self-doubt and negative traits are not those which might hamper us, such as lack of finances or physical inability, but are those which we think might prevent us... Prevent us from, lets say... being happy.

Yes, lets take being happy as an example. I guess if being happy is a goal worth attaining it might be worth putting a little effort into, as in my experience happiness will, if encouraged, increase.

Gently nurtured back into a state of health might be one way of looking at happiness, for a simple verbal statement 'I am happy' does not have the power to transform one's inner perception, nor convince others... unfortunately.

For, within your experience, within your catalogue of memories, are times when happiness arose and created a sense of well-being, self-worth and clarity... Maybe one sunny spring day, long ago, or perhaps yesterday. And with this understanding or recognition, the thought of being happy is true and real, and not a forced repetition.

Recognition... an important word in this context, for what we are doing is going back in time, to re-experience or re-cognise a happy experience, and allow it to manifest once again, and whilst this is happening, allow the dynamic to re-connect your internal and external worlds, so that no contradiction with the experience that is arising... in effect a bridge from inner world to outer world, and back again, and one that can be maintained by a combination of memory choice and a wish to retain the experience.

Nothing to complex, or technical at this point, just a very simple exercise. And, I am going to suggest a schedule to build upon this experience... Every hour or so, re-cognise your happy experience and allow it to flow for a couple of seconds, and in between times, if you wish, feel that this might be a preferable way of being...
