Do you ever wonder if you are where you are supposed to be, doing the kind of work you are supposed to do, and becoming all that you are meant to be? Are you finding meaning in life, in work, and in relationships? Do you want more out of life and if so, how do you get there?
Over the last twenty or so years, there has been a movement for finding your purpose or your passion. For centuries, Christians have been in the habit of discerning God’s call for their lives. What used to be taken for granted in Christian circles has now become a popular project and an intentional quest outside of Christian circles. Many individuals are now paying large sums of money for such services as vision quests and life coaching.
To discover one's purpose and passion is to assume there is a mission and a destination for each person. To get there requires some kind of map. This map is not quite like the map that cartographers create. It is not clear cut and detailed like the maps that get you places when you go on a car trip. It is the kind of map that consists of several great questions that we pilgrims must ask when we are on our journey through life. In the next few blog posts, I will share with you a few great questions I have found to be of pivotal importance in my own journey.
What have you found to be helpful in mapping your life journey?
